Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen advised Banco Santander Argentina S.A. (“Santander Argentina”) on the issuance class XXVII notes, simple, not convertible into shares, unsubordinated, with a joint and several guarantee of Santander Argentina and no guarantee of third parties, denominated and payable in Argentine Pesos at a floating interest rate, for a nominal value of $56,382,000,000 (Argentine Pesos fifty-six thousand three hundred eighty-two million) (US$ 53,838,147.52) maturing on January 22, 2026 (the “Notes”) under the Global Programme for the Issuance of Notes up to US$ 3,000,000,000 (or its equivalent in Pesos or other currencies or units of value). The issuance took place on January 22, 2025.
The Notes marked the milestone of being the first issuance at TAMAR Rate of Santander Argentina and the first 2025 transaction at TAMAR Rate.
The TAMAR Rate, recently introduced by the Central Bank of Argentina, brings greater clarity and predictability to the financial market. Its adoption reinforces confidence and stability in peso transactions, benefiting both companies and individuals.
In addition, the Notes have been locally rated “A1+(arg)” by FIX SCR S.A. Agente de Calificación de Riesgo “afiliada de Fitch Ratings” and admitted for listing in Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos S.A. and authorized for trading in the Mercado Abierto Electrónico S.A.
In the issuance of the Notes, Santander Argentina acted as issuer and placement agent and was advised by the team of Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arnsten.
