El Ministerio de Economía autorizó el llamado a licitación pública para la privatización de AySA
El 15 de mayo de 2026 se publicó en el Boletín Oficial a la Resolución N° 704/2026 del Ministerio de Economía (la “Resolución”), mediante la cual se autorizó el llamado a la licitación pública nacional e internacional de etapa múltiple para la venta a un operador estratégico del 90% de las acciones de Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos Sociedad Anónima (“AySA”), las cuales se encuentran actualmente bajo la titularidad del Estado Nacional.
AySA es la empresa encargada de brindar los servicios de agua potable y cloacas a los habitantes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y de 26 partidos del conurbano bonaerense.
El proceso licitatorio se regirá por el Pliego Único de Bases y Condiciones aprobado por la Resolución y se llevará a cabo a través de la plataforma CONTRAT.AR. Los interesados tendrán tiempo de realizar consultas al pliego hasta el 12 de agosto de 2026 a las 10 horas, mientras que la presentación de ofertas estará habilitada hasta el 27 de agosto de 2026 a las 9:59 horas. Finalmente, el acto de apertura correspondiente a la Etapa N° 1 se realizará ese mismo 27 de agosto de 2026 a las 10 horas.

The Ministry of Economy authorized public tender for the privatization of AySA
On May 15, 2026, Resolution No. 704/2026 of the Ministry of Economy (the “Resolution”) was published in the Official Gazette, by means of which it was authorized the call for a national and international multi-stage public tender for the sale to a strategic operator of 90% of the shares of Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos Sociedad Anónima (“AySA”), currently held by the National State.
AySA is the company responsible for providing water and sewage services to the inhabitants of the City of Buenos Aires and of 26 districts of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
The bidding process will be ruled by the Single Standard Bidding Terms and Conditions approved by the Resolution, and will be conducted through the CONTRAT.AR platform. Interested parties will have until August 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. to submit questions regarding the bidding specifications, while the submission of bids will be open until August 27, 2026, at 9:59 a.m. Finally, the opening of bids for Stage No. 1 will take place that same day, August 27, 2026, at 10 a.m.
