The French liquor multinational Pernod Ricard agreed with the Chilean group Viña San Pedro Tarapacá S.A. (VSPT), owned by the CCU holding company, the sale of its wine business in Argentina, which includes the Graffigna, Colón and Santa Silvia brands, the Graffigna Winery and the vineyards of the province of San Juan and La Consulta, in Mendoza.

On the other hand, Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal advised the Argentine branch of Pernod Ricard, together with the company's legal team. The amount of the operation was not disclosed. La Viña San Pedro Tarapacá is a wine producer owned by the CCU Group, which is a strategic alliance between the Chilean business conglomerate of Andrónico Luksic and the Heineken brewery.
According to a statement published on the website of the newspaper La Tercera, Pernod Ricard decided to sell these assets “to focus its local resources on the production of wines and sparkling wines in its wineries in Salta and Mendoza, and the production of spirits at its plant in Buenos Aires. "
For its part, Tarapacá makes a movement that allows it to expand its wine portfolio in a strategic market, which has the dual status of a large consumer and internationally competitive producer of wines of various types.
In fact, VSPT already has two intensive production vines such as Finca La Celia and Bodega Tamarí, located in Valle de Uco, in the province of Mendoza.
For its part, CCU is also present in Argentina, through its subsidiaries in the beer categories, it produces Santa Fé, Schneider, Isenbeck and Imperial beer, among others, in addition to Sidra Real and La Victoria, Vinos La Celia and Eugenio Bustos .
