Expertise

Geraldine Moffat develops her practice in the area of ​​labor law, advising fully on the matter, both multinational and local companies. She also specializes in preventive advice in individual and collective labor conflicts, negotiation and implementation of agreements for the termination of management personnel and in restructuring, adaptation of international corporate policies, contracts and programs to local regulations, stock options programs and benefits, and in highly complex disputes.

She also has an active and extensive participation in due diligence processes and negotiation of the sale of companies, both on the seller's and buyer's sides.

Likewise, she provides advice on issues of Immigration Law to expatriate workers.

Geraldine Moffat has been recognized by numerous specialized publications (such as Chambers & Partners, Legal500, Expert Guide) for her legal practice.

Education

Geraldine Moffat graduated as a Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 2004.

Between 2006 and 2007 she completed a Specialization in Labor and Social Security Law with Honors at Argentine Catholic University.

In 2008 he attended the European Congress of Labor Law and Social Security at the Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg – Germany.

Academic & Professional Experience

Geraldine Moffat joined PAGBAM in 2022.

Between 2007 and 2022, she worked as a lawyer and then as a partner in charge of the Labor Law and Social Security Department at Bruchou & Funes de Rioja. Between 2005 and 2007, she worked as a lawyer in the Labor Law Department of Negri & Teijeiro.

Geraldine Moffat is the author, among others, of the articles of doctrine "Labour, immigration and pension regulations: the need to make them compatible" (La Ley - Migration Supplement - 28/03/2022), "Cryptocurrencies and Argentine Labor Law ” (Rubinzal Culzoni - RC D 725/202 - 30/12/2021), “New ways of providing tasks 100 years after the creation of the ILO” (Labor Law Magazine, November 2019, Ed. Thomson Reuters – La Ley), “Analysis of the proceedings in the file -Rojas, Luis Roger and others c/Rappi Arg. SAS-” (Labor Law Magazine, 2019-2 Special Issue, Ed. Rubinzal Culzoni).

She was invited to speaker at the San Isidro Bar Association, in the course "A constitutional view from the CSJN and the SCBA" (October 2021), and was a professor in charge of Labor Law issues in the Law and Startups Program - Austral University (September 2022).

Admissions & Affiliations

She is admitted to practice law in Argentina as a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires.
