Expertise
Barbara Neyra´s practice focuses on Tax Law, advising local and foreign clients in all the tax aspect that could affect their businesses and operations, as well in tax aspects related to complex reorganizations and M&A transactions. Her practice considers a comprehensive tax advice on a wide variety of clients, from open stock companies, regulated entities, wealth management, family offices and investors, considering local and international taxation issues, as well as advice on several tax controversies matters before the Chilean IRS and the Chilean Tax Courts.
Education
Mrs. Neyra holds a Law Degree, cum laude, from Universidad de Chile (2006) and an LLM in Taxation, from the Universidad de Chile (2009).
Academic & Professional Experience
Bárbara Neyra is a partner in PAGBAM SCHWENCKE since 2020.
Before that she was a Tax Manager at EY Chile (2005 – 2013), Legal Chief Officer and Compliance Officer at Empresas Tricot (2013 – 2017), Senior Associate at Recabarren & Asociados (2017) and Counselor of Tax Law at Aninat Schwencke (2018-2019).
She has been professor at Universidad de Chile Law School (accounting), Universidad Adolfo Ibañez Law School (Tax Law) and in the Certificate of Tax Planning and Analysis from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
