We are delighted to share the news of the appointment of three new Counselors: F. Nicanor Berola, Juan Ignacio Dighero and Nahuel Pérez de Villarreal.
F. Nicanor Berola primarily focuses on the areas of Mining, Energy, Natural Resources, and M&A. He regularly advises local and international clients on various types of transactions, project financing, and corporate investments (mainly in the Mining, Renewable Energies and Oil & Gas industries). Nicanor has been part of PAGBAM since 2022. In 2024 he completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA). He is an active member of the AIEN -Association of International Energy Negotiators (formerly AIPN)- and of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (formerly Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation), and a member of the organizing committee for the “Latin American Chapter Event for Young Negotiators” at Universidad de San Andrés.
Juan Ignacio Dighero focuses his practice on Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Corporate Finance Law. Within his work, Juan Ignacio provides commercial and transactional legal advice to financial institutions, both domestic and international clients. He joined PAGBAM in 2018 as a paralegal, a position he held until his graduation in 2021, when he was incorporated as an associate at PAGBAM. Juan Ignacio received a “Distinction for Excellence” from the Buenos Aires Bar Association in recognition of his academic performance, and in 2023 he completed his Master’s in Business Law at Universidad de San Andrés.
Nahuel Pérez de Villarreal focuses his practice on Banking, Financial, and Capital Markets Law. He specializes in debt and public bond issuances, financial debt restructuring processes, syndicated loans, and project financing. Nahuel joined PAGBAM as an associate in 2018. In November 2020, he completed a Postgraduate Degree in Capital Markets at Universidad del CEMA. In December 2021, he completed a Postgraduate Degree in Economics and Finance at the Barcelona School of Business, Universidad Pompeu Fabra; and in December 2024, he finished his Master’s in Business Law at Universidad de San Andrés.
These appointments reinforce PAGBAM’s commitment to develop internal talent, recognizing the value of those who have built their careers at the Firm, and reflecting our philosophy of supporting and rewarding the efforts and dedication of our professionals. In recent years, PAGBAM has strengthened its regional positioning, consolidating its presence through initiatives such as the opening of PAGBAM Schwencke Chile in Santiago, the launch of the Latin American Desk in Uruguay, and a recent strategic collaboration with Saravia Frías Abogados. The appointment of Counselors in key areas underscores our ability to adapt to market needs and provide comprehensive, high-quality legal advice, reaffirming our leadership in the region.
