More Privatizations…

Privatization of INTERCARGO S.A.U.

Through Resolution No. 1067/25 issued by the Ministry of Economy, the privatization process of INTERCARGO (“Intercargo”) has been formally launched.

The process will involve the sale of 100% of the company’s share capital through a national and international public tender, in accordance with Law No. 23,696, to be completed within eight (8) months.

Intercargo is the Argentine state-owned company responsible for ground handling services at airports. It currently provides services to more than 20 airports in the Argentine Republic.

The Temporary Special Executive Unit “Agency for the Transformation of State-Owned Companies” will oversee the tender process, as provided in Articles 5 et seq. of Annex I to Decree No. 695/24, and will request a valuation of Intercargo’s shares from a public sector banking institution.

The tender process will be conducted through the CONTRAT.AR platform.

Argentina Launches Privatization Process for Comahue Hydroelectric Power Plants

The National Government, through Decree No. 564/2025, authorized, pursuant to Article 4 of Annex I to Decree No. 695/2024, the transfer of the shares held by Energía Argentina S.A. in Alicurá, El Chocón, Cerros Colorados, and Piedra del Águila to the Energy Agency of the Ministry of Economy, for their subsequent sale.

The transaction shall be carried out through a National and International Public Tender without a base price.

To ensure continuity of service during the share sale process, the Government established that the current concessionaires may continue operating, under the same conditions provided for in their concession agreements, until December 31, 2025 or until the sale is completed —whichever occurs first—, provided that they submit a letter of adherence within five (5) calendar days from the entry into force of the decree and maintain a minimum performance guarantee of USD 4.5 million.

The Ministry of Economy and the Public Enterprises Transformation Agency shall, within sixty (60) calendar days from the entry into force of the decree, call for the tender, establishing the terms of the process, which shall include technical, environmental, and safety requirements, as well as inventories and investment obligations.
