We are delighted to share the news of the appointment of two new Partners: María Carolina Abdelnabe Vila and Lucila Guerrero; and two new Counselors: Alejo Muñoz de Toro and Matías Nahuel Fuse.
M. Carolina Abdelnabe Vila focuses her practice in the areas of Antitrust, Consumer Protection, and Personal Data Protection and High Technology, advising both national and international clients. Carolina joined PAGBAM in 2013, and has been Counselor since 2019. She received the Editorial El Derecho award and the "Distinction to Excellence" award granted by the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, she is the author of many publications on her practice area, she is an undergraduate professor at Universidad del CEMA, she teaches postgraduate courses at UCES, Austral and DiTella, and she was a professor at ESEADE where she also coordinated the Annual Program in Consumer Law and Antitrust.
Lucila Guerrero focuses her practice on commercial law, and specializes in aviation and insurance law. Lucila joined PAGBAM in 2006 as paralegal; after her graduation in 2008, she became an associate, continued her work in the Corporate Law Department, and was appointed counsel in 2020. She received the Academic Excellence Award granted by the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, and she is member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and of the "Isaac Halperin" Insurance Law Institute.
Alejo Muñoz de Toro develops his practice in the areas of Banking and Financial Institutions, Foreign Exchange Law, and Project Finance. A graduate of Austral University in 2014, Alejo joined PAGBAM in 2021 focusing his practice on the advice to local and international companies in matters related to Central Bank and National Securities Commission regulations, debt issuances, and financing of projects and infrastructure.
Matias Nahuel Fuse focuses his practice in Labour and Social Security Law, providing comprehensive legal advice in this area to both multinational and local companies. Matias graduated with honours from the University of Buenos Aires School of Law in 2011, and has completed post-graduate studies at the Universidad Católica Argentina, Torcuato Di Tella University and Castilla La Mancha University in Spain.
These appointments seek to reinforce our outstanding trajectory in all practice areas, and we are convinced that they reflect PAGBAM's philosophy of recognizing and fostering talent within the Firm, promoting an environment of professional growth and excellence.
During the past year, we have focused on continuing to significantly strengthen our presence in the region, with the promotion of Marina Basavilbaso to partner and the establishment of the Latin American Desk in Uruguay, both milestones in our path. We firmly believe that the current appointments of Partners and Counselors in key areas such as the aforementioned, together with the opening of our Latin American Desk, enhance our ability to offer comprehensive legal solutions, further consolidating our position as a benchmark in the market.
