Se fija el calendario de aumentos progresivos para las cotizaciones previsionales empresariales bajo la Ley N° 21.735

La reforma previsional contenida en la Ley N°21.735 tiene por objeto mejorar las pensiones actuales y futuras, y disminuir las diferencias entre mujeres y hombres.


Entre otros aspectos, la reforma incorpora como fuente de financiamiento adicional de las pensiones una cotización de cargo del empleador del 8,5% de la remuneración imponible. Este aporte se aplica de manera gradual desde agosto de 2025 y hasta agosto de 2033, según el siguiente calendario:

- Agosto 2025: Aporte empleador 1%.
- Agosto 2026: Aporte empleador 3,5%
- Agosto 2027: Aporte empleador 4,25%.
- Agosto 2028: Aporte empleador 5%.
- Agosto 2029: Aporte empleador 5,7%.
- Agosto 2030: Aporte empleador 6,4%.
- Agosto 2031: Aporte empleador 7,1%.
- Agosto 2032: Aporte empleador 7,8%.
- Agosto 2033: Aporte empleador 8,5%.

En el contexto de esta alza gradual, la cotización obligatoria de cargo del empleador aumentará a 3,5% de la remuneración imponible del trabajador a partir del 1 de agosto de 2026. Este aporte debe declararse y pagarse junto a las demás cotizaciones de seguridad social, de acuerdo con el sistema general, en el mes de septiembre de 2026.

Schedule for mandatory employer pension contribution increases under Law No. 21,735 is set

The pension reform contained in Law No. 21,735 aims to improve current and future pensions and reduce disparities between women and men.


Among other aspects, the reform introduces an employer contribution of 8.5% of taxable earnings as an additional source of pension funding. This contribution will be phased in gradually from August 2025 through August 2033, according to the following schedule:

- August 2025: Employer contribution 1%.
- August 2026: Employer contribution 3.5%
- August 2027: Employer contribution 4.25%.
- August 2028: Employer contribution 5%.
- August 2029: Employer contribution 5.7%.
- August 2030: Employer contribution 6.4%.
- August 2031: Employer contribution 7.1%.
- August 2032: Employer contribution 7.8%.
- August 2033: Employer contribution 8.5%.

As part of this gradual increase, the mandatory employer contribution will rise to 3.5% of the employee´s taxable earnings effective August 1st, 2026. This contribution must be reported and paid along with other social security contributions, under the general system, in September 2026.
